Animal Health Care Internship (Spring)

APPROVED FOR UC/CSU

The following ROP course meets the UC/CSU Preparatory Elective “G” requirement. To meet UC/CSU admission requirement (“G” credit), students must complete a full year (two semesters) of the course and earn a grade of 70% or better.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Prepare to intern in a veterinary hospital, pet shop, or horse stable. Learn how to approach, handle, and properly restrain animals. Study animal behavior, nutrition, anatomy, terminology, diseases and sanitation.

Prerequisities: Successful completion of Animal Health Care with a 70% or better. Students must be at least 16 years of age. Students must be responsible for their own transportation to and from the internsthip site.
